Protect tech investments by demonstrating value
With increasing tech budgets comes heightened scrutiny, particularly as CFOs remain cautious. Many leaders still rely on traditional measures to assess tech investment impacts, which may undervalue the true benefits and risk defunding or underfunding.
In 2023, Deloitte’s Center for Integrated Research surveyed 1,600 global business and technology leaders about their KPIs for evaluating tech investments. The most commonly used KPIs were financial metrics, process performance, and customer metrics. While these are essential measures, an exclusive focus on them can overlook the broader value of technology.
