US business bankruptcies at highest level since 2010
Corporate bankruptcies in the US have surged to their highest rate since the global financial crisis. In 2024, at least 686 companies filed for bankruptcy — an increase of roughly 8% from 2023 and surpassing any year since the 828 filings recorded in 2010, as reported by S&P Global Market Intelligence.
