Is the US stock market overheated?
It’s a wonderful time for investors in the U.S. stock market. After a stellar 2023, share prices have continued to rise in 2024. The S&P 500 index has surged by 54% over the past two years, achieving one of its best runs since 1957. There have been some jitters; on December 18th, shares dropped by 3% after the Federal Reserve indicated it would cut rates less than expected in 2025. However, prices have bounced back slightly and optimism remains strong. Other global markets are also climbing, but America’s stock market is leading the charge.
